A Letter of Authenticity (LOA) is a higher-level certification required for items deemed to have a value over $200. Unlike a standard JSA certificate, an LOA provides a more in-depth written opinion on the authenticity of the signature and carries more weight for higher-value pieces. If your item is assessed to be worth over $200, you will be invoiced separately for the LOA fee before the process continues. This is determined by JSA during the authentication process, not beforehand.
JSA (James Spence Authentication) is one of the most trusted and recognized third-party autograph authentication services in the world.
Their experts analyze signatures against an extensive database of verified samples to determine legitimacy.
A JSA-certified item comes with a tamper-evident sticker that can be verified online, giving buyers and collectors complete confidence.
Almost anything signed! We accept Funko Pops, trading cards, photos, posters, jerseys, helmets, books, magazines, and more. If it has a signature on it, we can authenticate it. Not sure if your item qualifies? Feel free to reach out before sending and we'll let you know.
Once we receive your item, the authentication process typically takes 2–4 weeks. You'll receive a confirmation email when it's on its way back to you.
Turnaround times can vary during busy periods, but we'll always keep you updated along the way.
If JSA determines that a signature cannot be authenticated, your item will be returned to you as-is.
We always recommend only submitting items you are confident in, but we understand that's not always possible — that's exactly why authentication exists.
